GEP Groups Senior Management's approach to health and safety is based on the idea of personal commitment and individual enablement.

We believe everyone has a right to return home safely every day and a duty to take care of themselves and those around them.

As senior managers we understand that to have the highest level of performance we must engage with, influence and care for all those who come into contact with us, from family through to members of the public.

The Senior Management team are committed to launching a number of new initiatives, while improving existing ones, along with cultural change through communication and training. We believe communication and training is critical to creating the conditions for Zero Accidents. It's important that everyone understands our approach to health and safety and feels empowered to play their part.

We all have a part to play in keeping our workplaces safe. One of the most effective ways GEP Group does this is by being aware of the risks around us and taking action to address these. That's why we actively encourage all our people to regularly assess their working environments and report any identified risks as they arise.

The Senior Management Team will monitor the Health and Safety Policy for effectiveness and compliance on an ongoing basis.

External auditing ensures quality is monitored and the site will maintain the highest possible standards of construction throughout the development process.

Additionally the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) will be adhered to, ensuring 100% of employees and sub-contractors coming on our sites are competent to fulfil their role.

GEP Group is currently working towards Safecontractor accreditation, which will enhance our company’s ability to attract new contracts, and our commitment to safety will be viewed positively by prospective clients.
